Rotating Pastry Chef – Cruise Ship

About the role

We are looking for a versatile Pastry Chef Tournant to join our shipboard culinary team. You will ensure the daily operation of the pastry shop, delivering high‑quality desserts and pastries for guests and crew while adhering to strict food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the smooth and efficient daily operation of the pastry shop according to company policies.
• Produce, present, and maintain the quality of the pastry and dessert assortment for daily menus.
• Assist the Pastry Chef in forecasting production, recording leftovers, and controlling food costs.
• Set up pastry displays for various buffets and ensure compliance with United States Public Health (USPH) regulations.
• Maintain cleaning schedules, minimize equipment damage, and prepare the galley for USPH inspections.
• Handle requisition and transport of items from main stores to the pastry shop as needed.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards and complete daily pastry consumption reports.
• Participate in meetings, training, and other work‑related activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong English communication skills.
