Privacy Annotation Specialist (Legal Documents & PII)

About the role

We are seeking a Privacy Annotation Specialist to support the development of AI‑enabled legal and compliance solutions. The contractor will work remotely, reviewing legal and business documents, identifying personally identifiable information (PII), confidential content, and privacy‑related risks, and validating extracted data for eDiscovery and information‑governance workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Review and annotate legal documents containing sensitive or confidential information.
• Identify, classify, and flag PII and other protected data.
• Validate OCR outputs for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform quality checks on completed document batches and flag inconsistencies.
• Document findings and provide clear recommendations to project teams.
• Follow strict confidentiality and secure data‑handling procedures.

Required profile

• Professional experience in legal document review, eDiscovery, privacy, compliance, or information governance.
• Strong knowledge of PII and sensitive‑data classification.
• Background as a paralegal, eDiscovery specialist, privacy analyst, compliance professional, or legal document review lead.
• Ability to handle confidential information accurately and securely.
