Medical Billing Assistant – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

We are a leading physical therapy practice focused on sports rehabilitation, seeking a remote Medical Billing Assistant to manage insurance claims and streamline our billing processes. This full‑time position supports our athletes’ recovery by ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Review, update, and organize patient and insurance payment logs.
• Submit insurance claims promptly to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance WebPT, Therabill, and other billing software.
• Track payments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure no claim remains unsettled.
• Apply deep knowledge of U.S. health insurance, especially for physical therapy, including secondary claims and patient billing.
• Automate routine tasks using Google Sheets and improve workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong familiarity with the U.S. health‑insurance ecosystem, preferably in physical‑therapy settings.
• Proficiency with WebPT and Therabill billing platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a drive for process innovation.
