Medical Science Liaison – Rare Diseases (Argentina)

About the role

Medison is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to support rare disease therapeutics in Argentina. The role combines field‑based scientific engagement with internal collaboration to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date medical information is shared with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and manage collaborative relationships with key external medical experts and opinion leaders in relevant disease areas.
• Contribute to the generation and communication of complex scientific information to stakeholders.
• Drive disease awareness through external medical education, symposia, advisory boards, and scientific meetings in line with compliance.
• Coordinate and support pre‑launch and life‑cycle activities for current and pipeline products in Argentina.
• Provide medical support and respond to unsolicited HCP requests in accordance with local regulations.
• Participate in scientific and educational interactions with therapeutic specialists.
• Facilitate patient access programs addressing high unmet medical needs.
• Collect competitive intelligence and market insights on diagnostics and treatment paradigms.
• Communicate KOL insights to influence brand plans and strategies.
• Manage local aspects of investigator‑initiated trials and research projects per local laws and SOPs.
• Ensure pharmacovigilance and risk‑management activities are planned and executed according to regulations and SOPs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Medical Science Liaison or similar medical affairs role.
• Deep knowledge of rare diseases and related therapeutic areas.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Strong communication skills for scientific and medical information exchange.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, market access, and cross‑functional teams.
