Line Maintenance Mechanic – Buenos Aires (EZE)

About the role

American Airlines is seeking a Line Maintenance Mechanic to join its team at Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires. You will ensure aircraft are airworthy, perform troubleshooting, repairs, and support ground operations while enjoying travel benefits and a supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, disassembly, cleaning, repair, testing, replacement, adjustment, assembly, installation, and servicing of aircraft and engines.
• Maintain airworthiness of aircraft and components during service, overhaul, or modification.
• Sign mechanical flight releases and certify workmanship.
• Chase parts when stock is unavailable and manage inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and follow FAA, company regulations, and supervisor instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with company personnel.
• Perform ancillary duties such as windshield cleaning, ground power/start unit connection, aircraft pushing/towing, and guide‑man functions.

Required profile

• High school diploma and valid driver’s license.
• Minimum three years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and, if applicable, FCC general radio telephone operator’s license.
• FAA‑licensed and possession of a valid U.S. visa.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days‑off.
• Fluent in English and native language (reading, writing, speaking).
