Intellectual Property Legal Assistant

About the role

Job Duck is seeking a detail‑oriented Intellectual Property Legal Assistant to support IP attorneys in a fast‑paced, remote environment. You will manage trademark filings, monitor critical deadlines, and keep client portfolios accurate, directly influencing the success of our US‑based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to IP attorneys.
• Coordinate meetings, calendars, and deadlines across internal and external teams.
• Prepare and file trademark applications and related documentation.
• Conduct trademark and patent research using IP databases.
• Collaborate with international counsel for global filings.
• Assist with enforcement tasks such as cease‑and‑desist letters and disputes.
• Draft responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, and other filings.
• Maintain and update IP docket systems and client portfolios.
• Support billing entries, fee tracking, and scheduling activities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of remote work experience.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Prior experience in a law firm or with U.S.‑based companies preferred.
• Background in legal or IP work is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with IP databases.
