Information Security Analyst

About the role

The Information Security Analyst will act as a key resource for security and compliance initiatives, ensuring Assurant’s policies, regulatory obligations, and contractual requirements are consistently applied across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Participate in internal and external security and compliance audits.
• Enforce privacy and confidentiality of sensitive data in line with company policies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging threats, defensive technologies, and relevant security laws and standards.
• Support additional security‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an information technology role.
• At least 1 year of experience specifically in IT security.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2 + years of experience in a technical information security position.
• 4 + years of overall IT experience.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of EDR solutions.
• Experience with web and email gateways.
• Familiarity with access control, cryptography, and vulnerability management tools.
• Proficiency in SIEM/log management, ID/IPS, zero‑trust network concepts, and DLP technologies.
• Understanding of network protocols, DNS, and networking devices such as servers, routers, VPNs, proxies, and firewalls.
