GCP Cloud Architect – Design Scalable Cloud Solutions

About the role

Jetpacks! is seeking a GCP Cloud Architect to join its Latin American team. You will design, implement, and evolve Google Cloud Platform infrastructures for our clients, ensuring they are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost‑effective architectures on GCP.
• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.
• Define infrastructure standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for GCP environments.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Implement cloud security controls, including IAM, VPC design, networking, and compliance policies.
• Support development teams in adopting GCP services and cloud‑native patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and cloud readiness evaluations.
• Monitor environments for performance, reliability, and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineering to improve CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on GCP.
• Proven ability to work independently and make high‑ownership technical decisions.
• Strong communication skills to work with engineering teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Kubernetes design and operations.
• Cloud security fundamentals: IAM, VPC, networking, compliance.
• CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
