Galley Steward – Cruise Ship

About the role

The Galley Steward ensures that all galley areas and equipment on board Princess Cruises vessels are kept clean, sanitized and ready for service. Working as part of the galley cleaning team, you will support food service operations while adhering to the highest safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Princess Cruises operational methods and USPHS principles at all times.
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, mixing bowls and other galley equipment, handling items up to 71 lb.
• Recycle cooking service equipment before, during and after service.
• Assist with unloading and storing food deliveries weighing 50‑60 lb.
• Participate in scheduled deep‑cleaning tasks in addition to daily duties.
• Handle all equipment with care to prevent damage and report any defects to the Galley Supervisor or Executive Chef.
• Comply with company policies, fleet regulations and environmental regulations.
• Perform general emergency organization duties as directed.
• Represent Princess Cruises positively to passengers, officers and crew.

Required skills
