Fullstack Engineer - React & Node/Python (PWA Specialty)

About the role

We are seeking a Fullstack Engineer to join a 4‑month contract focused on delivering a high‑performance Progressive Web App (PWA) using React and TypeScript. The role involves end‑to‑end development, from architecture design to deployment, with a strong emphasis on offline capabilities and efficient data synchronization.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design and develop a mobile‑first PWA using React and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain backend APIs with Python/FastAPI and/or Node.js, connected to PostgreSQL.
• Implement image management, storage optimisation, and caching strategies.
• Develop client‑server synchronization processes and ensure robust offline functionality using Service Workers and IndexedDB.
• Optimise application performance and overall architecture.
• Design mobile‑oriented UI/UX solutions.
• Integrate Microsoft OAuth 2.0 authentication.
• Handle deployment and release processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience building mobile‑first PWAs with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience developing APIs with Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Demonstrated ability to work on offline‑first applications and limited‑connectivity environments.
• Familiarity with image optimisation and storage techniques.
