Front-end Software Engineer (Mid‑Level)

About the role

Join a 13‑person engineering team at a fast‑growing edtech company in Latin America. You will help migrate the front‑end of a flagship platform to the company’s modern tech stack, working in two‑week sprints alongside product managers and fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and migrate front‑end code for digital education products using React and Next.js.
• Deliver sprint‑level features that meet delivery commitments and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back‑end engineers in a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in architecture discussions and influence front‑end technology decisions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex bugs while maintaining test coverage.
• Conduct code reviews and help raise engineering standards across the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional front‑end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and daily use of TypeScript.
• Comfortable with modern tooling such as Webpack and Babel.
• Experience building responsive, accessible web applications in Scrum sprints.
• Ability to read technical documentation in English and communicate with distributed teams.

What we offer

• Compensation: $2,000 – $3,000 USD per month.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 9 AM‑6 PM UTC‑3 (40 h/week).
• Independent contractor agreement.
