Data Analyst – Power BI & SQL (Remote)

About the role

Blue Orange Digital is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to work remotely with its clients, turning raw data into clear insights, intuitive dashboards, and high‑quality reports. The role focuses on Power BI and SQL, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
• Write optimized SQL queries, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions, to extract, cleanse, and transform data.
• Implement data validation, accuracy, and quality checks.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Participate in client engagements, clearly communicating technical concepts, design decisions, and project progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑impact insights and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Required skills

• Power BI
• SQL
• Python (or other scripting languages for data manipulation)
• Data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, and dbt
