About the role

WSP Argentina is looking for an experienced Buyer to join its team in San Juan and support a major mining construction project. The role focuses on managing the full procurement cycle, ensuring that all materials, equipment and supplies are available when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and control the purchase of materials, equipment and consumables required for the project.
• Monitor inventory levels continuously and maintain optimal stock to avoid shortages.
• Coordinate delivery schedules between field teams and the office to guarantee uninterrupted operations.
• Work with suppliers to negotiate terms, track orders and resolve any delivery issues.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Transport or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in purchasing, procurement or logistics roles.
• Previous experience in industrial, mining or construction projects is preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in San Juan and availability for office‑based duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency with resource and supply management tools.
• Defensive driving skills and experience operating a 4×4 vehicle in mountainous terrain (preferred).
