Client Finance Manager

About the role

DEPT is looking for a Client Finance Manager to own the end-to-end financial health of assigned client projects, with a focus on complex creative work and cross-functional engagements. The role partners with client partners and delivery teams so that forecasts are accurate, budgets are realistic and projects meet financial targets. The position is based in Buenos Aires.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic financial business partner to client teams and Finance leadership, influencing financial decisions with data
• Develop monthly forecasts and annual budget planning, with oversight from the Group Director and Executive Director
• Monitor month-end close, including revenue recognition and journal entries, and draft or oversee month-end reports and variance analysis
• Support new business efforts with sales, client, operations and legal teams, including pricing proposals, RFP responses and budget development
• Review statements of work and pricing models, track client margins and profitability, and liaise on intercompany transactions
• Evaluate fees for client staffing plans and recommend staffing and margin approaches
• Serve as the initial FP&A point of contact for client audits and lead regular and ad hoc reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business preferred
• 2-4 years of experience, with 2 years in an agency preferred; media or creative agency experience is a plus
• Proven end-to-end project financial management, including forecasting, budgeting, billing and invoicing
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the role involves communicating with team members abroad

Required skills

• Forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis, including review of financial statements and key business metrics
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS (ASC 606, IFRS 15) preferred
• Experience with financial systems such as Anaplan and NetSuite is a plus
• Advanced Excel and Google Workspace skills
