Senior Revenue Forecasting & Operations Business Partner

About the role

Caylent, an AI-first cloud services company, is looking for a Senior Revenue Forecasting & Operations Business Partner to own the revenue forecast and the operational data behind it, acting as the finance partner to Sales and Delivery leadership. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the role turns signed SOWs, staffing plans and billing schedules into a reliable forecast and explains variances when actuals arrive. It is a hands-on, highly visible position working daily with senior leaders across Sales, Delivery, Resource Management and Accounting, and helping integrate acquired entities as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly revenue forecast across all entities and subsidiaries, maintaining a rolling 12-month forecast supporting the annual budget and reforecast cycles.
• Build the forecast bottom-up from signed SOWs, change orders, staffing plans and billing schedules, and reconcile it top-down to the Salesforce pipeline and bookings.
• Forecast by revenue type: time and materials, fixed fee, managed services and AWS-funded engagements.
• Model backlog burn, utilization and bench impact on revenue, and flag engagements at risk of under-delivery or overrun.
• Deliver a monthly forecast vs. actuals package with variance explained by engagement, practice and entity.
• Join Sales, Delivery and Resource Management forecast, pipeline and staffing reviews regularly, and partner on deal and SOW structuring (pricing, fee model, AWS funding).
• Challenge assumptions with data and translate financial trade-offs into clear recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
• Own revenue data across Salesforce, the PSA or time tracking system and the ERP, defining fields and controls that keep them in sync.
• Build forecast models and dashboards with full traceability to source records, automate recurring reporting, and document revenue operations processes and controls for audit and month-end close.

Required profile

• 5+ years in FP&A, revenue operations or revenue accounting, with at least 2 years in professional services or consulting.
• Proven track record as a finance business partner to senior commercial and operational leaders.
• Hands-on experience forecasting project-based revenue (time and materials, fixed fee, milestone engagements).
• Clear written and verbal communication, executive presence, and the ability to explain a variance in a few sentences.

Required skills

• Salesforce and at least one PSA or time tracking system.
• Advanced Google Sheets or Excel modeling, with auditable models.
• Preferred: AWS funding programs, M&A integration experience, ASC 606, SQL/Apps Script/Python, multi-entity and multi-currency reporting.
