Assistant Director – Tax Reporting & Data Analytics

About the role

EY GDS is looking for a detail‑oriented Reporting Manager to lead tax reporting and data analytics across its global finance function. The role transforms data into actionable insights, creates visualisations, and communicates findings to senior leadership worldwide. You will drive strategic reporting, financial modelling and digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive business segment reporting, including sales, revenue and market analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, ratios and ROI plans.
• Design, develop and deploy Power BI and SQL‑based reporting solutions, automating data pipelines with Power Query.
• Drive digital transformation, building a BI‑driven reporting infrastructure and leveraging lean methodologies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships globally, highlighting performance indicators and new business opportunities.
• Lead and mentor a dynamic team, fostering knowledge sharing and process improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in financial reporting and analytics, with at least 8 years using Power BI and SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts, finance processes and financial modelling.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Required skills

• Advanced ETL processes with Power Query.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
• Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development.
• SQL query development and optimisation.
• PowerPoint presentation creation.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Cloud RPA with Power Automate.
