AR Game Designer – Mobile & WebAR

About the role

We are creating an augmented‑reality entertainment experience that turns family‑friendly, horror‑themed tombstones into interactive monster encounters. The role combines a short WebAR cinematic with a deeper mobile game, and we need a designer who can shape the core gameplay loop and make the experience intuitive, repeatable, and fun.

Key responsibilities

• Define the short‑form AR monster‑encounter loop and design intuitive camera‑based mechanics.
• Create a supernatural weapon system that captures or weakens monsters and returns them to graves.
• Design behavior for three distinct monsters and craft character‑specific interactions.
• Establish progression, scoring, difficulty, rewards, and feedback systems for 15‑30 second sessions.
• Explore leaderboard, competitive, and potential multiplayer features.
• Design minimal onboarding that gets users playing instantly.
• Collaborate with AR engineers, animation, VFX, audio, and art teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Prototype, play‑test, iterate, and document mechanics based on feedback.

Required profile

• Professional experience as a Game Designer, AR Game Designer, Systems Designer, or Gameplay Designer.
• Proven track record designing mobile, AR, VR/XR, or location‑based interactive experiences.
• Strong grasp of short‑form gameplay loops, player feedback, progression, and replayability.
• Ability to translate broad creative concepts into clear mechanics, rules, and states.
