Technical Project Manager - Core Infrastructure

About the role

The Core Infrastructure team at Kraken is looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead cross‑functional initiatives that keep the platform fast, secure, and scalable. This fully remote position works with engineering, product, compliance, security and IT stakeholders to deliver mission‑critical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end execution of complex technical projects across engineering, security, compliance, facilities and data‑center operations.
• Build and maintain project plans, roadmaps, dashboards and release timelines.
• Identify dependencies, manage risks and unblock teams through creative problem‑solving.
• Facilitate meetings, retrospectives, planning sessions and coordinate large‑scale initiatives.
• Track KPIs and project health using metrics and dashboards.
• Manage intake workflows for feature requests, support tickets and operational work.
• Partner with engineering managers, leads and product managers to align requirements and timelines.
• Communicate project status and insights to technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives.
• Collaborate with external vendors to ensure compliance and technical standards.
• Improve internal processes using Atlassian tools, automation and AI‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Strong strategic systems thinking combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience delivering projects using both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving crypto/FinTech environment.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
