Tax Specialist

About the role

Western Union is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its finance team in Argentina. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing tax advice across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual tax affidavits, statutory filings and tax accounting entries.
• Compile and analyse financial data for tax compliance and reporting.
• Support regional tax return compliance, fiscal analysis, tax audits and special projects.
• Provide tax advice to business areas and contribute recommendations to improve departmental efficiency.
• Collaborate with headquarters on tax‑related reports and matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax department.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Experience with Argentinian tax authority software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Oracle systems (desirable).
• Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP (desirable).
