Associate Procurement Analyst

About the role

The Associate Procurement Analyst supports Assurant's Buy Desk operating model, handling sourcing intake requests, executing tail‑spend and low‑complexity sourcing activities, and assisting with supplier due diligence and contract execution. This newly created GCC‑based position requires a proactive approach to tactical procurement while adhering to governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and triage sourcing intake requests through the Buy Desk.
• Execute tail‑spend sourcing events such as spot buys, simple renewals, and one‑off purchases.
• Run RFQ / 3‑bid processes in line with procurement policies, thresholds, and timelines.
• Analyze spend patterns to identify tactical savings and standardization opportunities.
• Coordinate supplier due diligence, onboarding, and compliance checks with Risk, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Maintain complete sourcing documentation, audit trails, and intake records.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, buying, or tactical purchasing.
• Solid understanding of sourcing processes, RFQs, and basic commercial negotiations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of requests.
• Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Experience with procurement or sourcing tools such as Oracle, Ariba, or Coupa.
