Statutory Accountant (German Speaker) – Argentina

About the role

A boutique accounting and financial services firm is looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join its team in Argentina. The role supports the financial department across several European countries and takes part in audit processes and year-end closings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review all statutory work in the allocated portfolio
• Prepare monthly tasks such as flux analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse accounts monthly to spot unusual or irregular transactions and recommend solutions
• Guide other statutory accountants and help mentor staff to meet client deadlines
• Prepare year-end close activities, including US-to-local GAAP reconciliations and local GAAP financial statements
• Act as key figure for quarterly and year-end audits and main contact with auditors for the PBC list
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting, tax and finance projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 2-3 years of experience working on accounting
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• At least B2 level of German
• Good knowledge of accounting principles
• Ability to organise large amounts of data, prioritise multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Willingness to travel according to client and job requirements
