Sr. Wells Intervention Engineer

About the role

The Senior Wells Intervention Engineer will lead the technical planning and execution of well intervention and workover campaigns for TotalEnergies in Argentina. The role focuses on optimizing OPEX and CAPEX, improving production performance, and ensuring safe, reliable operations in line with HSE standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and optimise intervention strategies to maximise operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare, review and provide technical support for well intervention and workover programmes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry best practices.
• Support operations during planning, execution and post‑operation phases of interventions.
• Monitor and manage OPEX & CAPEX associated with intervention campaigns, contributing to economic optimisation.
• Participate in technical contract management, including contractor performance oversight.
• Ensure adherence to the Company Code of Conduct, HSE standards, and all applicable corporate rules.

Required profile

• Proven experience in well intervention or workover engineering within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong understanding of OPEX & CAPEX cost drivers and optimisation techniques.
• Ability to ensure compliance with HSE standards, company policies and local regulations.
• Experience in technical contract management and contractor performance monitoring.
