Senior UX/UI Designer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing vertical SaaS company focused on elective medicine, seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to own the full design lifecycle for client websites. This individual contributor role will shape the visual and interaction experience across a diverse roster of practice partners, working remotely with a preference for candidates near Chicago.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end client websites, from information architecture and user flows to high‑fidelity UI and interactive prototypes.
• Create mobile‑first, responsive layouts that adapt across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
• Lead interaction design alongside visual design, defining micro‑interactions, motion, and hover states.
• Set and maintain Figma standards, including clear page structure, named layers, auto‑layout, variables, tokens, variants, and style libraries.
• Build and scale component libraries and design systems for multiple client brands.
• Apply visual design fundamentals—typography, hierarchy, color, composition, contrast—with precision.
• Produce clean developer handoff specifications and ensure WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Present design decisions confidently to internal teams and clients, iterating quickly based on feedback.

Required profile

• Senior‑level designer who obsessively cares about detail and can articulate every design decision.
• Strong portfolio of shipped websites demonstrating end‑to‑end ownership.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in Figma, including component libraries, auto‑layout, and design tokens.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
