Senior Bookkeeper

About the role

We are a fast‑moving startup looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to lead the financial operations of the CEO’s business and personal accounts. The role is fully remote but must align with Pacific Standard Time working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage weekly payment approvals, invoice processing, and coordination with external controllers using QuickBooks.
• Track accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor contracts, and maintain the finance@ inbox.
• Generate weekly AP, AR, and balance‑sheet reports across multiple entities and reconcile accounts, credit cards, and recurring transactions.
• Maintain organized financial records in Google Drive, supporting tax deadlines, quarterly filings, and audit preparation.
• Oversee SaaS subscriptions, identify duplications or overspending, and collaborate on cost‑saving opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point‑of‑contact for external finance vendors, tax firms, CPAs, and legal partners, ensuring timely documentation and system updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance operations, or multi‑entity accounting.
• Proven ability to support external controllers, tax advisors, and compliance teams.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving in a collaborative environment.
