Safety Project Manager

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Safety Project Manager in Buenos Aires. You will manage and deliver a range of large regional and global projects covering one or more Lifecycle Safety functions (clinical trials and/or post-market), acting as the main customer-facing point of contact and overseeing operational service delivery across the opportunity lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the start-up of new projects, identify risks early and implement mitigation measures
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers and represent Lifecycle Safety on projects
• Lead customer-facing activities from scoping and proposals through bid defense, transition and delivery
• Oversee project planning, timelines, scope, quality, financial management and project finances (revenue recognition, invoicing, budgets, change orders)
• Serve as Safety Subject Matter Expert for governance, executive teams and partners, and as Solution Architect for new safety business opportunities
• Ensure global consistency in customer-facing materials, presentations and meetings, and partner with sales and proposal teams
• Support audits and inspections, work with Quality Assurance on corrective actions and with Lifecycle Safety Management on operational issues
• Build long-term customer partnerships, support contract renewals and pursue additional opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or a related field
• 4-6 years of clinical research experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical company, including 4 years in Lifecycle Safety (pharmacovigilance, CEVA, medical information, safety publishing, risk management, etc.) and 2 years in project management
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of global, regional and local clinical research regulations (GCP, ICH, IQVIA SOPs)
• Working knowledge of Lifecycle Safety service lines
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred
• Project management, planning, financial analysis and budgeting skills
• Leadership, team management, communication and negotiation skills; ability to work in matrix organizations and ambiguous environments
