Regional Lead, Site Budgets & Payments Operational Excellence

About the role

A global clinical operations organization is looking for an experienced professional to support the implementation of its Site Budgets & Payments Operational Excellence strategy and roadmap within an assigned region. The role acts as the main regional link between global strategy and country-level execution, bringing local requirements, risks and improvement opportunities into global governance. It works closely with global and regional Clinical Operations teams, Site Budgets, Site Payment Operations, country delivery teams, Technology, Business Enablement, Finance, Tax, Compliance and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the global Site Budgets & Payments strategy and roadmap in the region and serve as the primary regional contact for process and system matters.
• Promote globally consistent processes, documentation, controls and ways of working, while flagging regional variations needing evaluation or adaptation.
• Coordinate regional assessment of complex or recurring budget and payment issues, escalating systemic ones for root-cause analysis.
• Partner with Site Budgets and Site Payment Operations teams on business needs, rules, controls and acceptance criteria, supporting solution design, testing, implementation and validation.
• Gather, document and translate regional requirements into platform enhancements, reporting tools, automation and integrations.
• Take part in user acceptance testing, readiness assessments, controlled pilots, release evaluations and post-implementation monitoring.
• Use operational data, quality findings and user feedback to identify improvement priorities and measure adoption and benefits.
• Lead or support regional enablement through training, communications, onboarding, knowledge management and job aids.
• Help scale automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions after business, technology, compliance and governance review.
• Represent the region in governance forums, working groups and vendor discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, business, finance, technology or a related field; advanced degree an advantage.
• At least 7 years of clinical research experience in pharma or biotech, including site budgets, site payments, clinical financial operations, process improvement or operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of site budget and payment processes, systems, controls, data flows, fair market value principles and regional operating requirements.
• Knowledge of clinical research guidelines, regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

• Advanced spreadsheet capabilities, analytics and business intelligence tools, and automation solutions.

Work arrangement is hybrid or remote (remote only for candidates not close to Munro, Argentina, Colombia or Peru); no relocation or visa sponsorship.
