Project Director – Dermatology & Rheumatology CRO

About the role

We are seeking a senior Project Director to lead a portfolio of dermatology and rheumatology clinical studies for a specialized CRO operating in Argentina. The role combines strategic oversight, client relationship management and hands‑on leadership of project teams across the full study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio or program of clinical projects and the Project Managers responsible for their execution.
• Ensure all studies meet therapeutic, client‑specific, and regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH, SOPs).
• Represent the company to customers, maintaining satisfaction and clear communication of deliverables.
• Manage contracts, budgets and financial aspects, reviewing study expenses and forecasts.
• Maintain timelines, risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies to guarantee successful delivery.
• Contribute operational input to proposal development, pricing and strategy.
• Drive performance improvement, operational efficiencies and innovative approaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline; Master’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum 15 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in a CRO environment.
• At least 10‑15 years of clinical project management experience covering all phases from start‑up to closure.
• Demonstrated experience managing dermatology or rheumatology trials.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
