Project Coordinator

About the role

As a Project Coordinator you will be the primary point of contact for key merchant accounts in the Services industry, helping them maximise the value of American Express card acceptance and related capabilities. You will work closely with senior decision‑makers to identify growth opportunities and deliver tailored solutions that benefit both the merchant and Amex.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key merchant partners.
• Proactively engage merchants to understand their business needs, goals and industry challenges.
• Use consultative selling techniques to increase Amex share, relevance and profitability.
• Partner with senior decision‑makers to identify and act on performance‑enhancing opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, processing, MIS, fraud prevention) to design and deliver customised solutions.
• Ensure a seamless, high‑quality experience that maximises merchant satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong relationship‑management and business‑development abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Demonstrated autonomy, problem‑solving and sound decision‑making under pressure.
