Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee daily operations for a home repair and maintenance service provider, reporting directly to the owner. The focus is on keeping field technicians productive, ensuring quality work, accurate billing, and supporting growth through sales and marketing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, dispatch, and plan routes for field technicians, coordinating site access and supplies.
• Manage a team of five technicians, setting expectations, coaching, and handling performance issues.
• Review job details, handle callbacks, and ensure work quality and accurate invoicing.
• Communicate with customers about scheduling, job progress, and completion.
• Oversee work orders, photos, notes, receipts, and invoices; review time records and payroll inputs.
• Monitor job costs, service performance, and continuously improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with the process and automation lead to build efficient workflows in Jobber.
• Follow up on estimates, convert inquiries into booked work, and develop relationships with property managers and landlords.
• Support basic marketing activities and drive repeat business and referrals.

Required profile

• Fluent in English for client and management communication and able to communicate daily with field teams in Spanish.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and people‑management skills.
• Reliability, adaptability, quick learning ability, and the capacity to earn respect and hold employees accountable.
• Some leadership experience and background in operations, hospitality, logistics, or customer‑service environments.
