Middle Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a Middle Accountant to join our global shared‑service Accounts Payable team in Argentina. The role focuses on accurate payment processing, expense verification and month‑end closing while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review expenditure documentation to confirm accounting accuracy.
• Execute vendor payments, including domestic and international wires, batch and individual transactions.
• Post company expenses in line with US GAAP and manage related banking activities.
• Complete monthly account‑closing tasks in SAP following internal procedures.
• Collaborate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide clarifications and supporting documents to senior accountants as needed.
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries, attend meetings and prepare audit documentation.
• Participate in IT‑led process‑improvement initiatives, identify optimisation opportunities and support testing of new processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to compliance.
• Proactive ownership of tasks and ability to work within established guidelines.
• Motivation for continuous self‑development.
• Collaborative mindset with experience in multicultural teams.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP for accounting activities.
