Jr Waiter – South America

About the role

Join Princess Cruises as a Junior Waiter and deliver memorable service to guests aboard a world‑class cruise ship. Working under the guidance of an experienced Waiter, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure smooth food and beverage service throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Greet each guest with a warm, professional demeanor and maintain a clean appearance.
• Observe guest preferences, anticipate needs, and adjust service without prompting.
• Assist the Waiter in setting tables, preparing service stations, and maintaining standards.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly, in the correct order, and follow up to confirm guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to all company policies, including USPH protocols and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Graduate of a recognized Catering or Hotel Management school (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of restaurant service experience in a four‑star hotel or cruise ship environment.
• Strong knowledge of food, beverage, and wine menus used across the fleet.
• Ability to explain pricing, menu items, and cocktails clearly to guests.
• Comfortable working under pressure in both front‑ and back‑of‑house areas.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods and handling heavy items.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Command of the English language, both spoken and written.
