Healthcare Customer Support Representative

About the role

We are seeking a Healthcare Customer Support Representative to provide high‑quality phone and administrative assistance to patients from primary‑care clinics across the United States. You will help patients understand their medical bills, payment options, and account information with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming patient calls regarding billing inquiries and payment requests.
• Explain medical bills, account statements, balances, and payment options.
• Guide patients through online payment processes or alternative methods such as mailing checks.
• Provide cost estimates for procedures and services when applicable.
• Follow up on outstanding balances and coordinate repayment options.
• Use payer portals and eligibility tools to verify benefits and explain coverage.
• Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and patient portal.
• Document all interactions and billing updates accurately in internal systems.
• Support additional administrative tasks related to revenue‑cycle and billing workflows.

Required profile

• Fluent English (C1 level or higher) with strong verbal communication.
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, medical billing support, or similar patient‑facing roles.
• Experience explaining bills, payments, or financial information over the phone is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of U.S. insurance concepts such as copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and EOBs.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in fast‑paced workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree or tertiary education preferred.
