General Ledger Accountant (QuickBooks Online)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, self‑driven General Ledger Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting across multiple entities in a high‑transaction environment. The role is hands‑on, covering bank reconciliations, AP/AR, cost allocations, intercompany transactions, and month‑end close primarily using QuickBooks Online.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multiple bank accounts, capture movements in QBO, and perform daily bank reconciliations across entities.
• Own end‑to‑end AP: capture, route for approval, archive, post invoices in QBO and run vendor/contractor payments.
• Own end‑to‑end AR: issue and track invoices, monitor outstanding balances and follow up overdue payments.
• Process intercompany transactions and recharges, ensuring both sides reconcile.
• Manage cost allocations, internal BU recharges, amortization, accrued liabilities and allocate all transactions correctly.
• Review credit‑card expenses, cross‑check statements against the QBO GL and ensure accuracy.
• Produce daily and month‑end reporting and support full month‑end close.
• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies, proposing root‑cause fixes.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on general ledger/full‑cycle accounting experience in a high‑volume, multi‑entity setting.
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive, self‑starting attitude.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
