FP&A Consultant - Staff

About the role

EY is hiring a Staff FP&A Consultant in Buenos Aires. The role is execution-focused, supporting financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis with accurate data and timely deliverables. It builds core analytical, financial and digital skills and prepares candidates for progression into more advanced FP&A analytical and consulting positions.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning, including financial modelling, variance analysis, performance reporting, cost and profitability analysis, and cash flow analysis.
• Collect, validate and prepare input data for forecasts, budgets and reports, and update templates, trackers and planning models.
• Perform basic variance analysis and highlight deviations for review, ensuring adherence to FP&A standards, calendars and processes.
• Prepare reports and dashboards in Excel and BI tools such as Power BI, and help automate recurring reports and data preparation.
• Carry out basic data checks, reconciliations and validations, and take part in testing and adoption of new FP&A tools.
• Support Senior Consultants and Managers during planning and reporting cycles, respond to data and reporting requests, and escalate issues, data gaps or delays.
• Take part in training, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, and track basic FP&A KPIs such as timeliness and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant finance, accounting or analytical experience (internships included).
• Exposure to FP&A, reporting, analytics or finance operations is preferred.
• Strong interest in financial analysis, planning and business insight development.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills and basic financial modelling capability.
• Foundational understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, cost and profitability, and cash flow.
• Exposure to analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) preferred; familiarity with planning and EPM tools is a plus.
