Editorial Director

About the role

R/GA’s Studio is seeking an Editorial Director to shape the creative vision and craft culture of a fast‑moving, AI‑native production team. You will lead a group of editors, motion designers, and AI artists while staying hands‑on in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and generative tools to deliver groundbreaking storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the studio’s editorial voice and aesthetic, collaborating with leadership and clients.
• Lead by example, contributing directly to editorial, motion, and AI‑driven projects.
• Mentor and inspire the editorial team to take creative risks and push their craft.
• Review work across the studio, providing direction that sharpens narrative and visual impact.
• Shape AI‑native storytelling workflows, balancing innovation with craft‑first principles.
• Build scalable editorial pipelines that integrate generative tools strategically.
• Participate in recruitment and hiring to strengthen the team.
• Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and excellence.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional editorial experience in broadcast, advertising, high‑end content, or film.
• Proven leadership experience mentoring editors and guiding creative teams.
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and sound‑image integration.
• Strategic thinking about production pipelines, workflows, and scaling creative teams.
• Deep, current knowledge of AI tools and platforms.
• Strong communication skills in English.
