Director of Fund Operations

About the role

We are a growing U.S. real‑estate investment management firm seeking our first Director of Fund Operations. This remote, Argentina‑based role offers full ownership of the operational backbone, from property‑management workflows to fund accounting, investor relations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead selection and implementation of a property‑management/investment‑management platform (e.g., AppFolio, Buildium, Yardi, Juniper Square) and migrate from QuickBooks‑based processes.
• Design end‑to‑end workflows for property management, accounting, and investor relations; deploy AI tools and automation for reporting and document management.
• Own property‑level and entity‑level accounting, month‑end close, bank reconciliations, and preparation of quarterly investor and lender reports.
• Support U.S. tax reporting, coordinate with CPA, and manage timely distribution of K‑1s and other tax documents.
• Administer investor distributions and capital calls, maintain the investor database and capital‑account portal, and serve as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries.
• Hire, train and manage a growing operations team; report directly to the principal with high autonomy.

Required profile

• 6+ years in accounting/finance operations with exposure to real‑estate, private‑equity or fund administration.
• Fluent, professional English for direct communication with U.S. investors and lenders.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP; experience with QuickBooks required, property‑management platforms preferred.
• Proven systems‑builder who has implemented software, designed processes or automated workflows.
• Enthusiasm for AI tools and a track record of applying them in a business context.
• Self‑directed, able to set priorities, close loops and communicate proactively; available during U.S. East Coast business hours.
