Associate Medical Director – Ophthalmologist (Part‑Time)

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Ophthalmologist to join the team as an Associate Medical Director on a part‑time basis. You will provide medical, clinical and scientific advisory expertise across IQVIA divisions, supporting trial execution and business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver medical monitoring and strategic input for assigned clinical trials.
• Act as Global/Regional Medical Advisor and Scientific Advisor on projects.
• Guide project leaders on medical and scientific aspects of studies.
• Support investigative sites with protocol clarifications, eligibility determinations and patient‑safety issues.
• Review protocols, Investigational Drug Brochures and Case Report Forms.
• Assess and clarify trial‑related adverse events.

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited, internationally recognized medical school.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in general clinical medicine.
• Previous clinical research experience as an investigator or in pharma, CRO or biotech.
• Knowledge of federal and local regulations governing clinical research.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in English.
• Initiative, flexibility and the ability to provide consultative advice on multiple assignments.
