Assessment Scientist – Psychology Masters

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking an Assessment Scientist with a Master’s degree in psychology or behavioral sciences to lead eCOA implementation, scale management and rater training for clinical studies. The role is remote and supports global trial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead scientific oversight of eCOA implementation, ensuring accurate translation of endpoint scales into digital platforms.
• Develop and review eCOA specifications, partner with vendors, and own UAT strategy and execution.
• Manage global scale licensing, version control, and translation to maintain endpoint integrity.
• Design and deliver rater training programs, define qualification standards, and monitor performance.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (MA/MS) in psychology, behavioral sciences or related field.
• Experience in psychiatric or neuropsychiatric assessments and clinical research.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with eCOA platforms and UAT processes.
• Knowledge of scale licensing, translation management, and rater training methodologies.
