Accountant – AP & Month-End Close Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to own our accounts payable function and lead month‑end close activities. This newly created position offers the chance to shape the finance processes within a fast‑moving eCommerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end accounts payable (AP) process.
• Lead month‑end close tasks, including accruals, adjustments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly revenue reconciliations.
• Track and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Ensure all financial records comply with US GAAP standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• At least 1 year in a direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) or eCommerce setting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning).
• Excellent written and verbal English (C1/C2 level).
• High attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
