Accounting Manager – Remote

About the role

UpCounting is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a talented team of accountants and provide founders of eCommerce brands with clean, reliable financials. This fully remote position offers the chance to shape financial processes, drive automation, and deliver actionable insights in a tech‑forward environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close for multiple client files.
• Maintain and improve UpCounting’s accounting processes and operational excellence.
• Communicate financial insights to clients, supporting their understanding of key metrics.
• Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with Controllers and senior leadership to build scalable workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting management experience, preferably in a multi‑client or firm setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a calm, structured approach.
• Proven ability to work independently and drive process improvements.
• Experience with FP&A or financial modeling is a plus.
