About the role
The Vice President, Account Management for Mercado Pago LAC will lead the strategic growth, retention, and expansion of key customer relationships across Latin America and the Caribbean. Reporting to senior leadership, this role shapes the long‑term commercial vision and drives revenue generation for Mastercard’s partnership with Mercado Pago.
Key responsibilities
- Set ambitious regional sales and net‑revenue targets and lead the team to achieve them.
- Design and deploy comprehensive sales plans covering the full Mercado Pago product portfolio, including business development, marketing, and product integration.
- Analyze performance data to uncover whitespace opportunities, expansion potential, and untapped market segments.
- Lead senior‑level relationships with enterprise customers and strategic partners across LAC, providing consultative guidance and industry insights.
- Negotiate complex customer agreements, ensuring alignment across global and cross‑regional resources.
- Identify and build new business opportunities, expanding Mercado Pago’s footprint in the region.
Required profile
- Proven senior strategic leader with deep commercial expertise in digital payments or fintech.
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing large enterprise accounts.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Thought leader who can anticipate market trends and shape innovative solutions.
