Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Specialist will manage corporate tax matters for BYD Argentina's vehicle business, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient tax operations. The role focuses on Argentine tax compliance, risk mitigation, and cash‑flow optimization through tax rebates and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT, Gross Income Tax (CM01, CM05), Corporate Income Tax, and SICORE (withholding) liquidations on schedule.
• Enter all tax filings in ARCA and Conaweb platforms.
• Calculate deferred tax assets and liabilities and support fiscal planning for income‑tax payments.
• Handle transfer‑pricing issues and identify tax‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate with tax authorities (ARCA) for new business arrangements and tax applications.
• Collect tax rebates to improve cash‑flow efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Public Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Argentine tax policy, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Fluent in Spanish (native) and English (oral and written).
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business demands.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong SAP knowledge (implementation experience is a plus).
• Understanding of IFRS standards.
• Experience with SAP transaction F6401.
• Expertise in tax liquidation, VAT, Gross Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, SICORE, and deferred tax calculations.
• Transfer‑pricing knowledge.
