Tax Compliance Manager – LATAM

About the role

EBANX is seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to lead its LATAM tax function. The role will oversee statutory tax obligations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and timely filings while supporting the company’s rapid growth in emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing LATAM tax compliance team.
• Own end‑to‑end compliance for direct and indirect taxes (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.) in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
• Manage tax audits and interactions with local tax authorities, assess risks and maintain audit readiness.
• Partner with business, product and regulatory teams to ensure correct tax treatment of new payment flows.
• Standardise compliance frameworks, implement scalable controls and identify automation opportunities.
• Oversee external tax advisors, ensuring consistency, quality and cost efficiency.
• Maintain compliance dashboards, track KPIs, deadlines and risks for tax leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing tax teams across multiple LATAM jurisdictions.
• Strong background in LATAM tax compliance, both direct and indirect taxes.
• Solid experience managing tax audits and dealing with local tax authorities.
• Experience with tax credit recoverability and statutory obligations.

Required skills

• VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance.
