Software Engineer, Observability

About the role

Avature is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Observability team. You will work on a hybrid role that blends software development with DevOps practices, building and maintaining highly available monitoring and logging infrastructure for the entire organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain observability features and tools.
• Analyze existing systems and refactor code to improve reliability and performance.
• Work with technologies such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, Puppet, Terraform, AWS, PHP, and Python.
• Perform code reviews and promote best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance monitoring, metrics, and operational visibility.
• Contribute to workflow automation, continuous improvement initiatives, and on‑call support rotations.

Required profile

• Professional experience in software development and DevOps.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Fluency in object‑oriented programming, preferably PHP or Python.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and participating in on‑call rotations.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
