Software Engineer – API & Integration Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a problem‑solving Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust integrations between our platform and external systems. You will ensure data flows smoothly into downstream record‑keeping solutions while preserving absolute data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop adapters, authentication flows, and data extraction processes for seamless interaction with third‑party platforms and record‑keepers.
• Lead flatfile integration projects, handling both read‑only ingestion and write‑back capabilities.
• Map and normalize data across systems, interpreting external specifications to create accurate asynchronous pipelines.
• Validate generated data and files against external schemas, formatting rules, and validation constraints.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve integration failures in production, managing tickets and escalations as needed.

Required profile

• Strong experience with APIs, ETL pipelines, and file processing.
• Solid background developing backend solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience building, deploying, and managing APIs on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Comfort reading and implementing technical documentation and vendor file specifications.
• Proficiency with relational and key‑value databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Full professional English proficiency.
• Prior experience with payroll, benefits, or fintech integrations is a plus.
• Familiarity with microservices, webhooks, and complementary languages like Python or Ruby on Rails is advantageous.
