SEO & AEO Specialist – Local Search & AI Optimization

About the role

LocalEyes is seeking an SEO & AEO Specialist to lead local search optimization across ten U.S. markets and drive AI‑focused visibility. You will own the full lifecycle of local SEO, structured data, and AI citation strategies to position the company as the authority in corporate video production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for 10 cities, posting weekly content.
• Achieve top‑3 local pack rankings for target keywords in at least eight markets by Q3.
• Handle citation consistency using BrightLocal and LocalFalcon, and monitor competitor movements.
• Implement Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) tactics, including JSON‑LD schema on every city and service page.
• Maintain and update LLMs.txt files as AI crawler behavior evolves.
• Conduct monthly audits to ensure LocalEyes appears in AI answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
• Oversee technical SEO health: crawlability, site speed, indexing, and Search Console monitoring.
• Produce 8‑12 AI‑assisted content pieces per month, briefing Claude, editing drafts, and localizing copy.
• Deliver monthly SEO performance reports to the CEO, covering rankings, traffic, and AEO status.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on SEO experience with a track record of owning rankings.
• Demonstrated work with AEO or structured‑data projects, including JSON‑LD implementation.
• Experience creating and maintaining LLMs.txt or similar AI‑crawling files.
• Comfort using AI writing tools (e.g., Claude) to generate and refine content.
