Senior Mobile Developer (React Native)

About the role

Sidekick, a Canadian DTC brand specializing in physical therapy and rehab products, is looking for a senior React Native developer to own and evolve its customer companion app for iOS and Android. This is a long‑term, full‑time contractor position with a fixed monthly retainer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire React Native app lifecycle from concept through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable, efficient code using TypeScript.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and maintainable code while owning end‑to‑end QA.
• Monitor Sentry, triage and resolve production crashes.
• Manage App Store and Play Store releases, including builds, submissions, certificates, and handling rejections.
• Maintain the backend‑less solution built on Supabase (auth, Postgres, RLS).
• Integrate payment frameworks and SDKs such as Google/Apple Pay and Stripe.

Required profile

• 7+ years of senior‑level experience with React Native (iOS & Android) and TypeScript.
• Proven track record of shipping live apps on both stores (links required).
• Hands‑on experience with Supabase (auth, Postgres, RLS).
• Experience with payment SDKs (Google/Apple Pay, Stripe).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to work independently.
• Located in an Eastern time zone.
