Senior Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Logistics Specialist you will own the end‑to‑end movement of goods across the North American supply chain, driving speed, quality, cost efficiency and reliability. You will influence stakeholders at all levels, mentor junior team members and shape logistics processes to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full logistics process across the US, ensuring orders meet quality, speed, fill‑rate, communication and cost targets.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives on transport to improve profitability and delivery performance at scale.
• Negotiate with nurseries and transport partners, securing advantageous terms and strengthening strategic relationships.
• Manage a high volume of active orders, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact customers.
• Communicate risks and wins to senior management, escalating issues with full context and driving resolution.
• Diagnose root causes of post‑order problems, implement corrective actions and close the loop.
• Mentor and develop junior logistics specialists, raising team standards and providing operational leadership.
• Identify efficiency gaps, propose data‑informed solutions and support implementation of process improvements.
• Support senior leadership on strategic logistics initiatives and ad‑hoc priorities.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of proven logistics, supply‑chain or transportation‑management experience with a track record of owning outcomes.
• Hands‑on experience booking, managing and negotiating with trucking and freight carriers.
• Proactive problem‑solver who can make decisions with incomplete information.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, able to handle multiple complex workflows.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑communication abilities, influencing across all levels.
• Demonstrated informal leadership through mentoring and setting standards.
