Senior Individual & Business Tax Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join a growing U.S. accounting and tax advisory firm that serves high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships, closely held businesses, and multi‑entity structures. The position is fully remote, ideal for candidates based in LATAM who can work in the EST time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex U.S. tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).
• Prepare K‑1s, basis schedules, tax adjustments, and supporting workpapers.
• Build tax projections and calculate estimated payments.
• Review client financial information to proactively identify tax issues.
• Respond to client inquiries and IRS notices.
• Maintain organized, review‑ready engagements.
• Collaborate with CPAs and other tax professionals to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of U.S. tax preparation experience.
• Strong experience with Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1065.
• Proven ability to handle complex business and individual returns.
• Deep understanding of partnerships, K‑1s, and basis calculations.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
