Senior Data Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Team Lead to independently manage end‑to‑end delivery of data management services for clinical studies, ensuring high‑quality deliverables on time and within budget. The role provides expert guidance to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team and drives project planning, execution and close‑out across multiple global studies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact for data management deliverables and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Lead and support Data Team Leads (DTLs) on large, multi‑site or global study programs.
• Oversee project planning, financial management, milestone tracking and issue escalation.
• Negotiate timelines, resources and financial terms with customers.
• Coordinate with Data Operations teams to ensure milestones, quality standards and contractual obligations are met.
• Develop, review and sign‑off Data Management Plans (DMP) and ensure compliance with GCP, SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Implement proactive quality management, identify root causes of issues and drive remedial actions.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Clinical Data Management for pharmaceutical or CRO environments.
• Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams on large, global clinical studies.
• Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Excellent project and financial management capabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal stakeholders and senior management.
